Position Summary

As an Automotive Service Technician at Hardin Automotive Group, you will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on various vehicle makes and models. Your work will ensure customer satisfaction by providing accurate, high-quality service.

Primary Responsibilities

• Use current technical tools to troubleshoot customer vehicle concerns.
• Provide courteous and professional service to all customers.
• Assist in greeting customers at the Service Drive when possible.
• Stay informed through technical publications and service terminals.
• Perform vehicle services safely with the goal of first-time accuracy.
• Resolve all original customer concerns before recommending additional services.
• Inspect vehicles to identify additional maintenance needs based on factory and local guidelines.
• Return vehicles in clean condition or cleaner than when received.
• Participate in factory and in-house training programs regularly.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and maintain proper documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
• Maintain punctuality, readiness to work, and adhere to uniform standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs across multiple vehicle makes and models.
• Ability to meet or exceed performance goals.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
• Positive attitude and high energy.
• Ability to read and understand instructions clearly.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Education and Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ASE certification demonstrating technical aptitude required.
• Technical or trade school diploma preferred.
